Photo Tips

There are many options for obtaining photos to print in your organizations yearbook.

Use Professionals

Call a local photographer and arrange for a group photo session. You may be able to visit a commercial photography free of charge studio providing the photo packages are available for purchase by the participants. For an on-site shoot, a professional photographer may charge a small fee for travel. Ask the photographer for a CD containing the best shot of each participant and mail it to Team Mate or call for uploading instructions.

Line Them Up and Shoot!

Utilize your artsy-est parent volunteer! These days, many people have quality digital cameras and love to engage in photography for a hobby. Ask around to see if any of the parents of the group are photography ?enthusiast and would like to volunteer to be in charge of photos.

Submit a Photo of Choice

Celebrate by submitting a photo of your choice. Everyone has a favorite photo of themselves representing personality and style. Just be sure to submit a photo that is of good reproduction quality.

School photos work well.

Guidelines For Submitting Photos:

The photo area for a standard team Mate Yearbook is 1.5 inches x 2 inches. If your photo is not exactly to size, do not worry, it can be sized here at Team Mate. If you are particular as to how your photo will appear, please provide an overlay or guide to indicate your suggested cropping. Please print your name on the back of your photo. Please send a good quality photo! If you do not have a suitable photo, please let me know and I can arrange to have your photo taken. School photos and dance photos work well.

Digital photos: Digital photos can be attached to an email when you fill out your info over the internet, or attached to an email and sent to eileen@teammatejournal.com. Please be sure to include your name and phone number in case there is a problem. All photos should be as high of resolution possible (suggested resolution is 300 dpi at 1.5 inches x 2 inches or larger)! Only submit a digital photo that has good lighting and contrast, and is not blurry. JPEG and TIFF file formats are accepted.
