My career began in educational publishing. I designed and managed the production of educational publications ranging from a variety of grade school materials to college level textbooks. This is when I developed my most valuable skill, ORGANIZATION! I logged and tracked batches of chapter manuscript through the various stages of production—editorial, fact checking, proofreading, paging, design proofing, photo research, and illustration—as it circulated throughout the various departments and out to major publishers in NYC. I learned to organize files, create extensive art and photo programs, manage my time, and deal with those who struggled trying to do the same.

Looking for a change of pace, I accepted a staff position at a new medical diagnostics, development, and manufacturing company. As the sole creative staff member, I experienced not only a tremendous environmental change but interesting design challenges as well. This company, while primarily technology based, also designed and manufactured various simple plastic parts used in the medical field. While this line of work could instantly be labeled as dry and unfulfilling, I immediately approached the opportunity as an interesting creative challenge.

Today I work out of my home-based studio for various small companies in the Chicago area. I enjoy all types of graphic design work—print and web—ranging from high-profile to simple updates.”

I am an honest, reliable, and resourceful individual. Most of all, I love to design!
